The Chemical Brothers - Go
Another Michel Gondry masterpiece, and not the first time working with The Chemical Brothers. Too much to write about honestly, but this week in particular I think it is important to see that some of the choreography - notably with the bars - and some of the architecture seems impossible. And it is impossible. But it doesn't matter. Just Go. A few bumps in the road, or blips on the tape, or during whatever it is you're working on or towards, is a speed bump, not a blockade. Go. Go. Go.

Flight Facilities - Crave you feat. Giselle
Life has a bit of magic. If you truly think about it, maybe a lot of magic. The chance you would exist, that this planet would exist, that your parents are who they are and, if you have any, your kids are who they are, is impossible to fathom. Any number of an unknowingly large set of variables could have shifted, and something would be different - maybe a small thing, or maybe, just maybe, everything. In the middle of this impossible set of chances, there exists love. Love. Magic.

Dayglow - Hot Rod
When I was younger and Pandora was perhaps the best way to find new music, many of my "channels" all converged into alt indie with female lead singers OR male falsetto/higher-pitched. This song found me many years after Pandora was my go-to music discovery avenue, but the song and video give me warm-fuzzies of being younger, fair weather, biking, and, as you'll eventually see is incredibly important to me, a story arc that extends beyond a single video. Smile and enjoy :-D

Living Sisters - How Are You Doing?
A wonderful, chaotic, joyful song that is matched by Michel Gondry's direction. We left LA yesterday to avoid the fires and smoke and I knew this had to be what I shared today. In the face of the tragedy, the fear, the shear force of Mother Nature, I am asked and asking this question by and to just about every person with whom my path crosses - "How Are You Doing?" In the face of everything, humanity I trust will prevail, with helpers coming out of the woodwork and coming together, like in this beautiful work.

The Blaze - Territory
Beginnings: There have been some interesting write-ups (1 2) about The Blaze, and "Territory" in particular, but when I watch this video, full of relationships many of us are familiar with but perhaps in an unfamiliar setting, underscored by driving beats and rhythms, it makes me think that home and family is where we all begin.
